What the Heck does an Educational Consultant Do?
As an Educational Consultant, I help students build capacity and I help parents make the sometimes difficult decisions about school selection, testing and diagnosis. The world of Special Education is complex. Having someone like me on your team is like having a tour guide, translator and body guard at your side. I can help with school selection, 504 recommendations & advocacy. I will attend school meetings with you and work with teachers to educate them on students' needs.
I also provide targeted learning interventions for students with Autism, ADD and ADHD, Anxiety, Sensory Processing Disorders, Vision Disorders, Fine Motor Disorders and more.
More About Me...
I grew up going to Camp Capers in Waring, TX and eventually graduated to Camp Counselor. There, playing capture the flag and joyfully singing, I fell in love with the work of serving children.

I'm a law school dropout. My parents wanted me to become a lawyer, but my heart wanted me to teach. One year into law school I left to get my master’s in education at Trinity. Over two decades I taught in private, public, and home school. I have consulted on curriculum design and facilitated home school for elementary, middle, and high school students. My most pertinent experience has been the schooling I have cultivated for my own children. All 4 of my children are gifted and neurodivergent.
Over the course of 25 years, I've been a teacher and a mother, watching first-hand how difficult it can be to navigate school systems. At this stage in my career, my passion is helping families find success in that system. Above all, I am an advocate for all children and their families.
